Beginner Paint & Draw
One of our favorite classes is our Beginner Paint & Draw! This class is the place for our youngest school-aged kiddos (Pre-K through 3rd grade) to try their hand at new mediums, develop their technical skills, and express their individual style. We will work with a variety of mediums, such as acrylic and watercolor paint, graphite, charcoal, paper crafting, pastels, clay, and much more! We have a lot of fun in this class, and create wonderful memories for each student.
Fall 2018 Class Times: Mondays 5:30pm-6:30pm, or Tuesdays 4:00pm-5:00pm (Beginning August 6)
Classes are one hour each week, and cost $65 per month, all supplies included. Invoices are emailed on the First of each month, and payment is due by the first class of the month. Payments may be made online via the link in the invoice email, or with card, cash (exact change only please), or check at the studio. Any monthly announcements, such as studio closures or make up days, will be detailed in the invoice email each month.
Please fill out a separate form for each child you wish to register.
Attendance Policy: We understand life can get crazy, and sometimes you can’t make your class. That’s ok! Our policy is that as long as notice is given in advance of the class, we will offer a make-up class. Often, make-up lessons are best done during our regular Open Studio hours, however, additional arrangements can be made. The best way to reach us to let us know you’ll miss your class is to text or call 405.245.4496.
Class Time: It is our goal to make sure that your class time is being used the best way possible. For that reason, please make every effort to arrive on time. It is fine to arrive early, but please wait in your vehicle until your class time as there may be another class finishing up. The last few minutes of each class are just as important as any other, and often we are discussing artwork, progress, or intentions for the next week; it can be frustrating to those students to be interrupted by early arrivals.
Studio Closures: All planned Studio closures will be announced in the monthly invoice email, as well as discussed in class the week before. However, sometimes things come up, or weather gets in the way, or my own kids get sick, and impromptu closures happen. Every effort will be made to communicate directly with you as early as possible via call or text, so please be sure we have a working phone number on file for you. Also, we will post about last minute closures on our Facebook page, so be sure to follow along there as well.
Family Discounts: In the event that more than one family member is enrolled, we offer a $10 per month discount for the second and fourth enrollment. Students do not need to be in the same class to take advantage of the discount.
Social Media: We love to celebrate our students and their work on social media! We regularly post images from class, as well as finished artworks on both Facebook and Instagram. However, if you prefer to not be photographed, or don’t want your work featured, please let us know. Be sure to follow us!
Art Supplies: Everything you’ll need for class will be supplied to you as part of your monthly tuition, but if you’d like to start purchasing your own supplies, be sure to let us know! We are always happy to advise you on the best, most affordable supplies for whatever type of art you’re into. We also have resale accounts with many suppliers, and may be able to get a great price for supplies for you!
Parking: Our parking lot is small, however you are always welcome to park in the driveway behind the building, or in the grass behind the building also. Please do not park in the grass in the front of the building.
Open Studio: Need more art time in your life? Awesome! We’d love to have you join us for Open Studio hours. During these times, the Studio is open to the public and current students. Advanced Art students may attend at no cost (studio fee is included in the price of your class), and all other students can attend for a discounted studio fee of $15 per project (no charge if you come for a make-up lesson). Get some extra time on your in-class projects, or come in and try your hand on some artwork of your own.
